BWLET.net would not have been possible without the help and support of the following individuals:
Gethin
Nichols (for the artwork, design and logos)
Mari Arthur (for her technical expertise and advice and her generosity in
giving so much of her own time to this project)
Alex Roberts (for his technical support with the database and website posting
and also for some invaluable advice) & Martin Price (for getting us
out of a technical pickle).
BWLET.net is an AHRB funded project directed by Professor M. Wynn Thomas. The Research Officer for the one-year project was Dr. Rhian Reynolds. The Research was supported by a number of individuals. Ms Marleen Seegers (University of Utrecht, Netherlands) spent four months working on material in 19th century journals. The project was supported by a steering committee whose role was to assist with the bibliographical element and general research methods. The members of this committee were Dr. Rhidian Griffiths (National Library of Wales), Mr Gwilym Huws (Department of Information and Library Studies, University of Wales Aberystwyth) and Dr. Ian Glen (Library and Information Services, University of Wales Swansea), whose assistance, during the crucial initial stages of the project in particular, was invaluable.
We should also like to thank the following: Dr Marged Haycock, Dr Wyn James, Professor Dafydd Johnston and Professor Hywel Teifi Edwards for sharing with us their specialist knowledge in various fields. Their advice and comments have been essential to the process of ensuring the accuracy of the references on this database.
We are
extremely grateful to Dr. Claire Powell for her support and practical help
with this project. She was an invaluable help with the Conference to launch
the project as was Ms Alyce von Rothkirch. There are a number of other individuals
who aided us in several different ways, giving us practical support and
alerting us to new translations or sources. We are extremely grateful to
all those who helped us in any way during the research and development phase
of this website.
